Description

MORGAN VIRODEX Disinfectant and Sanitizer - 20 Liters, Based on 5% Peracetic Acid

It is an extremely powerful liquid disinfectant based on active oxygen and peracetic acid.

It is specially designed for industrial and institutional applications that require the highest sterilization standards.

It is environmentally friendly, as it breaks down into natural substances (water, oxygen, and acetic acid) without leaving harmful residues.

Technical Specifications

  • Active ingredient: Peracetic acid at 5%.
  • Appearance: A clear, colorless liquid.
  • Odor: A pungent vinegar-like odor (disappears after rinsing/ventilation).
  • pH: Strongly acidic (in its concentrated state).

Key Features

  • Broad spectrum of action: Effectively eliminates bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores.
  • Environmentally friendly: Does not require a final rinse in some food applications because it breaks down into non-toxic products.
  • Works at low temperatures: Highly effective even in cold water.
  • Biofilm removal: Has an exceptional ability to penetrate and remove microbial biofilms on surfaces.
  • Non-foaming: Making it ideal for clean-in-place (CIP) systems and pipelines.

Dilution Ratios

The dilution ratio depends on the type of surface and the degree of contamination, but the common ratios are:

  • For general surface sanitization: Dilute at a ratio of 1:100 to 1:200 (i.e., 5 ml to 10 ml per liter of water).
  • For sanitizing pipelines and tanks (CIP): Use at a concentration ranging from 0.2% to 0.5%.
  • For comprehensive sterilization (surgical or high-level disinfection): The ratio may reach 1:50 depending on the protocol followed.

Places and Uses of the Product

  • Hospitals and medical centers: Sanitizing floors, walls, and hard surfaces (non-corrodible metals).
  • Food and beverage industries: Sanitizing dairy tanks, juice production lines, and filling machines.
  • Poultry and animal farms: Disinfecting barns and drinking-water lines (to prevent the growth of algae and bacteria).
  • Water treatment plants: Used as a strong disinfectant for pipes and tanks.
  • Hotels and central kitchens: Sanitizing cutting tools and preparation tables.

How to Use

  • Initial cleaning: Surfaces must be cleaned thoroughly of organic dirt and grease before disinfection.
  • Preparation: Dilute the product with water according to the ratios mentioned above.
  • Application: Spray the solution onto the surface, or apply it by immersion, wiping, or circulating it through pipes.
  • Contact time: Leave the solution on the surface for 5 to 15 minutes to ensure complete elimination of microbes.
  • Rinsing: Rinsing with water is preferable when used at high concentrations on surfaces in direct contact with food, even though it self-decomposes.

Safety Precautions and First Aid:

Caustic substance: Gloves, protective goggles, and protective clothing must be worn when handling the concentrate.

Ventilation: Use in well-ventilated areas to avoid inhaling the fumes.

Reaction: Never mix with chlorine or alkaline cleaners (may produce toxic gases).

Storage: Keep in its original container, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and flammable materials.

Keep out of the reach of children.
