Directions for Use & Dosing for Best Results:

1. Group Head Backflush Procedure:

• Insert a blind filter basket into the portafilter and add 3g of COFFEE SAFE powder.

• Lock the portafilter into the group head.

• Activate brew cycle for 10 seconds, stop for 10 seconds, and repeat this cycle 5 consecutive times.

• Remove portafilter and run brew water to rinse residual powder from the portafilter and group head.

• Reinsert portafilter with blind filter and repeat cycle (10 seconds on / 10 seconds off) 5 times with plain water for complete rinsing.

• Extract and discard a trial espresso shot to ensure the brew circuit is completely purged.

2. Soaking Method for Portafilters, Baskets & Metal Parts:

• Dissolve 6g of COFFEE SAFE powder in 1 liter of warm water in a suitable clean container (avoid plastic vessels).

• Submerge portafilter heads, filter baskets, shower screens, and metal accessories in the solution for over 30 minutes to break down stubborn scale and oils.

• Drain solution and rinse all components thoroughly under clean running water before reuse.
